• Style: Meticulously furnished and decorated in carefully selected fabrics to complement each bedroom and bathroom, one of the bathrooms has an early Victorian canopy bath and shower unit: an installation these days to be found only in museums!
• Bedrooms: 7 doubles and 2 twins are available in the main house (including a double four-posted ground floor room with wheelchair access) each with en suite facilities or private bathroom. Bridge Cottage has 3 doubles and 1 twin and the Head Gardeners Cottage offers 3 doubles and 1 twin.
• For relaxation: curl up on the sofa and absorb the warmth of the open fire, simply open the door to a world of parkland, trees and lakes to explore to you heart's content or bury yourself in the library with a good book.
• For recreation: Challenge someone to a game of billiards or pinball or try your hand at a spot of fishing on the lake within the grounds. A golf enthusiasts dream with Dunbar and Winterfield golf courses nearby.

Food and Wine

• DIY: The main house is fully staffed and available on either a fully-catered or B&B basis. Both of the cottages are available on a self-catered basis.
• In house cuisine: The 1840s Cuban mahogany table in the formal dining room can seat up to 18 guests or up to 50 guests can be accommodated on round banqueting tables. Recommended outside caters can be liased with directly to create bespoke menus to suit your party using the finest local produce.

Getting There:

• On the map: The town of Dunbar and its station is less than one mile away.
• By train: There is a frequent train service between Waverley Station, (Edinburgh City Centre) and Dunbar. Travel time varies between 20-30 minutes. Train time from London Kings Cross is less than 5 hours.
• Arrangements can be made for the estate vehicle to collect and deliver guests from airports, stations etc at a cost to be advised.
• There is ample space within the estate for helicopters to land and take off.

Out and About

The house stands in an enviable location where golf (Dunbar and Winterfield golf course), shooting, fishing (on site) and stalking is in demand. Situated in East Lothian, north of the Tweed, and between the Lammermuirs and the sea, the potential for golf, sea fishing, salmon and trout fishing, and the opportunities to shoot grouse, partridge, pheasant and roe deer are limitless.
